Agritourism Casolare dei Fiori in Montecarlo (Lucca) is run directly by the Pasquinelli family, owners of the Azienda Agricola of the same name.

The family run agritourism Casolare dei Fiori in Montecarlo in the province of Lucca has been in the Pasquinelli family for two generations.

Also occupied with flower cultivation, an important industry in the Valdinievole, the business was created in 1954 by the father, Enzo, who started with the seasonal production of carnations, moving on to year-long flower production with the construction of his first heated greenhouses.

With the passing of the years and the expansion of greenhouses and land more and more products were added, and now the business produces around 40 different species: flowers, ornamental greenery, decorative branches and plants in pots spread over 20,000 square metres of greenhouses and 10,000 square metres of outdoor plots.

It was thanks to this great passion for flowers that the idea for the Casolare was born.

The agritourism that the Pasquinelli family wanted to create came from the same passion for beautiful things, with all the characteristic elements of Tuscan tradition preserved in the typical architecture of the country house.

All of the activities of the flower production may be observed by guests at the Casolare, and the keen can even get some hands-on experience of the day to day life of the business.
